When we first talked about Vysarn in February 2023, with a market cap of approximately $40 million, we emphasized three compelling aspects of the investment thesis:

  1. Strategic diversification: A clear pathway to transition from resource-centric operations to capital-light, high-margin businesses more attractive to the market.
  2. Experienced leadership: A management team with a proven track record of scaling public companies.
  3. Attractive valuation: Trading at less than 4x EV/EBITDA with a strong balance sheet and stable cash flow.

Since then, the company has ticked the first 2 points, launching two organic divisions (Pentium Water and Vysarn Asset Management) and completed three strategic acquisitions: ProEng, Waste Water Services, and CMP. This strategic execution has driven revenue growth from $25.8 million in FY21 to $114.37 million (pro forma) in FY24. This remarkable revenue expansion, improved margin, and enhanced business quality has driven the share price evolution. However, we believe the market price has yet to fully price in Vysarn’s potential.

In today’s update, we’ll provide a comprehensive analysis of Vysarn’s current business landscape, delve into the growth prospects for Vysarn Asset Management (VAM), Waste Water Services, and CMP, share our updated FY25 estimates, review the latest company presentation, and highlight key insights from our recent interview with Vysarn ‘s CEO James Clement.
